A website for a dental clinic in Tenerife: what it needs so foreign patients book

Many of a Tenerife dental clinic's potential patients live here but don't think in Spanish. They're British, German or other European residents (/datos has how many live in the province, with sources), and they look for a dentist the way they look for everything: on Google, on their phone, in their own language. "English speaking dentist Tenerife", "deutscher Zahnarzt Teneriffa".

When they land on your site they have one question: will they understand me here and treat me well? This is what that patient needs to find for the answer to be yes, and to book.

Which languages should a dental clinic's website be in?

The ones you actually treat patients in. If someone at your clinic speaks English, the site needs English. If someone speaks German, German too. And it should say who speaks each language: "Dr X sees patients in German" is worth more than a flag in the header.

The copy should be written by a person and checked with you, not run through a machine translator. A patient who reads an oddly translated treatment name assumes the appointment will go the same way. The reverse matters too: don't list a language nobody on the team speaks, because the patient finds out on the first call.

One page per treatment, not a list

Someone searching for "implants" or "invisible braces" wants a page about just that. Each treatment page should answer:

This is where a site built for clinics shows: a foreign patient doesn't know how public healthcare works here or what it covers. I explain it in the guide for expat patients, and your pages can answer those doubts before they're asked.

The team, with names, photos and registration numbers

A well-informed patient checks that the dentist is registered, and that's what GuíaDentistas, the Spanish General Council of Dentists' search tool, is for. Make it easy: each dentist's full name, their registration (colegiado) number, a real photo and the languages they speak. It's the part of the site that builds the most trust.

Booking without a phone call

Foreign residents often prefer writing to calling, especially if their Spanish is shaky. At the very least, a WhatsApp button on every page. If you already use Doctoralia or another system with a booking link or widget, the site can send patients to that same calendar, not a second one your reception has to watch. If your system has none of those options, I go through it with you before I start.

Before and after: only with consent

Photos of real cases convince more than any text, but they're health data. Only with signed consent on file, and they come down as soon as the patient asks. Healthcare advertising in Spain also has its own rules: before publishing prices or offers, check with your professional college what you can show and how.

Your Google profile, in the same languages

Many patients never open the website: they decide from the Google profile. The right category, real opening hours, photos of your clinic and replies to reviews in the language people wrote in. It's all step by step in the Google Business Profile guide.

Which plan fits a dental clinic?

If your clinic works in Spanish and English and five pages are enough (home, main treatments, team, contact), Plan Teide Esencial covers it. If you also need German or a page for each treatment, Plan Teide Completo goes up to ten pages and three languages, and I write the copy. Booking wired deep into your practice software is a custom project. Everything I build for clinics is on the dental clinic websites in Tenerife page.

Already have a site and not sure it does all this? Ask me for a free video audit and I'll tell you what's missing, no strings attached.
